THE JIMMIE IRELAND STAND HIRE DETAILS
The Jimmie Ireland Stand provides an excellent setting for meetings and private functions.The function area has seating for up to 120 with the ability to adjust the accommodation to the needs of smaller parties.Suggested layouts are shown in the appendix so that the function area will be ready for your arrival, depending on the nature of your event.If dance space is required, it can be set with seating for 100 and adequate space is left for dancing.There is a smaller room available, the Committee Room, which will seat a maximum of 24.
Monday to Friday evening: £150
Note. If bar facilities are required there will be an additional charge. See below for details.
Conditions and Regulations of Hire
Once an application has been accepted, the person who made the booking shall be deemed responsible for payment of all fees and the observance of the Conditions and Regulations of Hire
A non refundable deposit of £50 for Monday - Friday and £100 for Saturdays must be paid at the time of booking to secure the booking
Hire of the Committee Room from Monday to Friday is £50 plus £40 for the bar
An Invoice will be sent immediately after the function for payment within 28 days
Evenings and weekends
The stand is usually not available for hire prior to 7 pm on weekdays
It is not available for hire at the weekend when major sporting fixtures are being held
Access to the stand prior to the event is by arrangement
On Friday and Saturday evenings, the bar will close at 12.30 am
Music must be stopped by 12.15 am
Premises must be vacated by 12.50 am
On Monday to Thursday evenings, the bar will close at 10.45 pm
On Monday to Thursday evenings, functions should end at 10.45 pm
Premises must be vacated by 11.20 pm
The School will provide a Janitor for the duration of the function
It is not possible to bring food into the Stand
Any food consumed in the Stand MUST be provided by the School’s caterer, Allan James
Buffet food from £6.50 - £7.50 per head for finger food
Choice of 2 Hot Buffet Dishes from £10 per head
Table D’hôtel from £16.50 per head

The Jimmie Ireland Stand is licensed and accordingly, all alcoholic beverages served must be under the control of the licensee, The Glasgow High School Club Ltd
If bar facilities are required, the charge will be agreed in advance in accordance with the requirements of the event
The level of charge will depend on a number of factors, i.e. the nature of the event, its duration, the number of people attending and the number of bar staff required.

House wines are available at all functions.However, if you prefer, a superior selection of wines can be ordered two weeks in advance (see attached wine list).
If you wish to supply your own wine, corkage charges will be £6 per bottle for sparkling wine and champagne or £5 per bottle for still wine.
Payment for the bar facilities must be made on the night by cash or cheque payable to GHK RFC.
Where possible, the Stand will be made available for setting up and decoration however, we ask that any decorations, banners etc. are only attached with Blue or White Tack only (no pins or sticky tape)
Confetti (paper, tinsel, plastic or any other type) are not to be used either in any of the function suite areas or in the grounds
Candles are not permitted
Children are deemed anyone under the age of 18
Children are allowed in the Stand up until 10:00 pm when they must have vacated
Children must be under the supervision of an responsible accompanying adult at all times
All breakages or damage to the buildings, equipment, fixtures or fittings must be paid for in full and will be invoiced with the hire charge
The High School of Glasgow will not accept any responsibility for the loss or damage of any vehicle in connection with the function, which is left in the precincts of the stand or the grounds.
