The Jimmie Ireland Stand
Designed by Holmes Miller, the Jimmy Ireland Stand was opened in 2000. This striking structure is a 700 seat spectator and changing facility for the surrounding grassed playing fields and all-weather pitch.
Inside the stand there are modern changing facilities for the teams on the ground floor along with a well equipped fitness suite. The first floor hospitality suite/function area has seating and tables for up to 120 overlooking the pitch. Catering and hospitality facilities are also located on this level which can be accessed from the external terraced seating. There is a small Committee Room capable of seating 24 people with its own hospitality area situated at the western end of level one. Above and integral to level one is the upper mezzanine floor again with seating and hospitality facilities for up to 80 people. The High School utilise the stand during the weekdays as a refectory for the pupils and staff.
Completed in 2000 at a cost of £1.6 million, the Jimmy Ireland Stand was awarded a commendation in 2001 at the annual Scottish Design Awards.
